The Wiouwash State Trail is a 5.9 mile gravel multipurpose trail that connects to 21.8 additional miles in Winnebago County. The development of the trail is a cooperative effort between the Counties of Outagamie and Winnebago in conjunction with the Department of Natural Resources.
The trail is rural in nature and users are treated to native tallgrass preserves where wildflowers flourish. Birds and wildlife are often seen on the trail that runs south from Hortonville and connects to the Winnebago County portion at the Winnebago/Outagamie County line. An unconnected north segment of the trail also runs between Split Rock and Birnamwood in Shawano county.
